5 Things You Didn’t Know About Angelina Jolie

We know that Angelina Jolie is one of the most admired celebrities of our time. From Tomb Raider to The Eternals to Maleficent , everyone more or less follows her acting career and her humanitarian commitment, and even knows that her six children like to help themselves to her dressing room. But if you think you know everything about her, think again, because Angelina Jolie is full of surprises. Here are five things you may not know about the Hollywood star par excellence.  

1. She had a backup plan in case she failed in Hollywood

As a teenager, Jolie considered becoming a model or a funeral director. “ It may sound very strange and sinister, but actually, at the time, I lost my grandfather and his funeral really shook me, ” she told 60 Minutes in 2011. “ We need to grieve and approach death differently in our societies. That would have been my path if I had failed as an actress .”

2. She is a fan of acupuncture

In 2017, Angelina Jolie told Vanity Fair that she has Bell’s palsy, a nerve disease that causes weakness on one side of the face. Acupuncture is said to help the actress recover from this condition.

3. His children learn different foreign languages

Angelina Jolie has used the lockdown to encourage her children to learn foreign languages. “ All my children are learning different languages ,” she told the BBC. “ They choose which ones they learn. Shiloh is learning Cambodian Khmer. Pax has started learning Vietnamese. Maddox has started German and Russian. Zahara speaks French. Vivienne has focused on Arabic, and Knox is learning sign language .

4. She is a diplomat

After several years of loyal service, Angelina Jolie  was officially appointed as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)’s Special Envoy in April 2012. Hats off.

5. She is not afraid of insects

In 2017 in Cambodia, Angelina Jolie was spotted frying crickets, scorpions and tarantulas for her children. “ They eat bags of crickets like they eat bags of chips. Shiloh especially likes the tarantula! ” she told Good Morning America .
