Angelina Jolie’s side is pleased that the court ordered Brad Pitt to hand over all documents about the domestic violence case, calling it important evidence.
According to Us Weekly , on November 25, Judge Lia Martin of the Los Angeles Superior Court, USA, asked Brad Pitt, 61, to submit documents and contact data that Angelina Jolie’s, 49, legal team said would prove that the actor concealed his violent behavior. Previously, Jolie’s side repeatedly requested Pitt to provide it, but Pitt’s side always objected, saying his ex-wife violated his privacy by demanding too much information.

Angelina Jolie’s lawyer – Mr. Paul Murphy – said: “We are pleased that the court has made a decision in favor of Angelina Jolie. Now, Pitt must provide documents, the content of the exchange with other parties about the abuse, lying to the authorities and covering up the crime after years of trying to hide all important evidence. His actions hurt Jolie and the children while the children are the center of this lawsuit.”
Mr. Murphy also emphasized that Angelina Jolie never wanted to file for divorce. From the beginning, the star gave up all of their joint assets and tried to sell her shares in the Miraval estate in France to her ex-husband, but he refused. In July, Jolie’s team said that Pitt agreed to buy it back on the condition that she sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) not to reveal his past mistakes. They argued that the actor has never taken responsibility for his actions, always controlling the vineyard and winery but still demanding more.
“Jolie wants the lawsuit to end, the children want it to end, and Pitt should focus on healing his family, not pursuing litigation. If he does not do so, my client will defend herself in court by presenting the necessary evidence to prove that all of Pitt’s allegations about her are false,” Mr. Murphy said in a statement on November 26.
International news sites said that Judge Martin’s new decision acknowledged Angelina Jolie’s allegations against her ex-husband. Brad Pitt’s representative did not comment on the ruling. An acquaintance of the actor told Us Weekly that the request “was not important because they had provided so much information before.”
The domestic violence allegations against Brad Pitt are part of a property dispute in France. The two began fighting each other in 2022 after Brad Pitt discovered that Angelina Jolie had sold ownership of the estate to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler for $67 million. Since then, both sides have repeatedly criticized their exes in court for using NDAs to cover up wrongdoings during and after their marriage.
On November 8, Brad Pitt “won a major victory in his estate lawsuit.” The judge rejected Angelina Jolie’s request when she objected to the accusation of breach of contract by her ex-husband. On the other hand, Jolie has made moves to stop the legal battle. In July, she asked Pitt to withdraw the lawsuit for the sake of her family. In early October, she used the fake name Jane Doe to file a petition asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit demanding the Department of Justice and the FBI provide information about the investigation into Brad Pitt’s 2016 child abuse.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt first met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), when the actor was married to Jennifer Aniston. After Mr. and Mrs. Smith , Angie and Pitt publicly fell in love, got married in 2014, and together raised six children, including three adopted and three biological. In 2016, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences. Both fought for custody of the children, but Brad Pitt lost.
