A heinous crime shocked residents of the Sinarquistas neighborhood after the body of a young man, wrapped in a coffin, was left at the door of his home by three unidentified men. The victim, identified as Luis Gerardo “N,†was 23 years old and had been reported missing weeks earlier.
According to his mother’s testimony, on Sunday afternoon, three men got out of a white pickup truck, knocked on the door of the home located at the corner of Guillermo Velasco and Antonio MartÃnez Aguayo, and when they opened it, they said, “We’ll leave him there,†before leaving. Upon examining the coffin they had left behind, the family found the young man’s body, wrapped in plastic and showing apparent signs of violence.
Luis Gerardo had announced he would be traveling to Jalisco for work, but after that warning, his family lost contact with him. Since then, they have been searching for him without success.
After the discovery, the family called the emergency number, and Municipal Police officers immediately responded to the scene. The area was cordoned off with the support of state and federal forces while the corresponding investigation began.
Agents from the Specialized Homicide Investigation Unit have initiated an investigation to clarify the murder.
Forensic experts processed the scene and transferred the body to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO), where a legal autopsy will be performed to officially determine the cause of death.
